Short Summary from Dev

The whole process of developing the game has been interesting and challenging. At the moment Time Stop Island is only a prototype. It is not yet a "Real Game". But I've enjoyed the process of developing it. I have learnt a lot from it.

My inspiration for the art style came from a game called SUPER HOT.

My inspiration for the content was SUPER HOT, THE STANLEY PARABLE, THE FOREST and so on. They are all great games!

The soundtrack for my game is from the game The Forest.

The early development work revolved around defining the theme of the game, the art style.

After that I started creating maps and I found a large number of great 3d models in the Unity Assets Store. The overall environment of the game came from a free source and I made a lot of changes to the details to fit my game.

The most time consuming part of the game was tweaking the visual style and the movement of the dead bodies. I wanted to create a death scene that was bright and glowing, but the rest of the game was pure white. This took me a long time to create.

Then there was the movement of the dead bodies, I had to tweak each joint bit by bit and I had to spend at least 30-40 minutes on each body to make sure they moved naturally.

Later development revolved around small tweaks like removing collision boxes in places, fixing places that were prone to falling, etc.

Thanks to my teachers and friends for their encouragement and support on the project!
